I use the same glo system in singles thru triples years ago at Toledo Aldon Kelly, (manufacturer of Merlin Glow Plugs) encouraged me to allow at least thirty seconds of lighting prior to starting. He explained that with the glow plug system, better results are oobatine by heating the head and upper combustion chamber before attempting to start.
